Above is a 2005 photo of Idaho Women Legislators wearing loud ties of the floor of the House of Representatives. I bought the ties at Savers and arranged that we would all wear them March 27th to hasten the very long 2005 session’s end. (Loud or ugly ties are a tradition for many male lobbyists and members of the media). I am very proud and much enjoyed working with law makers from all around the state. The warmth, kindness and spirit of compassion and caring that so many showed made me feel welcome and able to make a difference on the issues I care deeply about. I look forward to next year and to working hard together to meet the many challenges -- especially ensuring we have adequate revenue to meet the urgent budget needs of healthcare, education and state employee pay.
