We are not giving up. We have an idea and we'd love your help.

Chairman McKenzie is balking at allowing a public hearing on S1033, the fair employment legislation which adds gay and transgender people to Idaho's human rights act to end discrimination in employment, housing & education. It is years past time for him to schedule a hearing on the bill!
It is time for the Idaho Legislature to hear from Idahoans how discrimination affects our lives and our state. It is time for the legislature to hear stories on why this matters to everyday Idahoans who have LGBT people as family, co-workers, neighbors, classmates and friends.
STICKIES to MCKENZIE: What we did to let Chairman McKenzie know it is time for him to HEAR US!
1. We wrote respectful messages on sticky notes.
2. Brought them to the State Capitol. (OR we texted a short message to Lindsey at 208 860-2273 OR emailed 20 words or fewer to Mistie at mistie@4idaho.org OR many people even snail mailed their own sticky notes to Safe Schools Fair Employment Working Group c/o 1210 N. 11th Boise 83702. We posted your sticky notes! Thank you!)
3. We posted sticky after sticky on the glass doors of the Senate State Affairs Committee room. (The first committee room on the right as you enter the Senate underground wing on 8th St. in Boise.)
 4. We even took photos of the stickies and uploaded them to the PHOTO section of our facebook page at "I support Human Rights for ALL.")
5. Tell friends this issue matters to you.
Stickies to McKenzie EXAMPLEs:
Senator McKenzie, hear us! Hear our stories, our challenges, our pain and why we need S1033. --Carol Growland, home owner, taxpayer, bank employee.
Chairman McKenzie -- Hear S1033. My daughter is gay. It is time to understand how her life is affected by discrimination. -- Jan Smith, mother, small business owner, Fruitland, ID.
Senator McKenzie, Please hear S1033. As a business owner I know our state will be better when human dignity is respected and discrimination ended. -- Fred Round, Nampa.
Thank you! We must not allow it to be so easy for this committee to refuse to hear us year after year! They need to hear us now.
--- Lindsey, Mistie, Emilie, Victoria, Nancy, Linda, Laura, Justin & all of us statewide with safe schools & fair employment working group.

| Charlie was charged by Republican leadership with taking them down and giving them to Senator McKenzie. Thanks Charlie for being so sweet. We appreciate you. |
